A motor-skills program for neurodivergent students
Develop motor skills with customized steps, tracked in a journal after every session, one small win at a time.
HoopsInUnity is an adaptive youth basketball program where neurodivergent students build basketball and motor skills through individualized programs and structured physical activity, and learn to work through the challenges they face.
Founded and led by Felicia Leung, in partnership with Kiddo Land, an early learning program for neurodivergent children.

EVERY SESSION
How we build motor skills with neurodivergent children: three steps in every session, shaped around the individual student. Tap one to see it.
Dribbling, catching or shooting, every skill is broken into small steps, and the steps are customized for each child. Any plan can be split further and reshaped as the child grows.
Leo tried to dribble about 50 times and couldn't yet. Mia did it after seeing it shown once. Same goal, very different responses, and every one goes in the journal.
When dribbling didn't work, the task became dropping the ball. When dropping worked but catching didn't, the next lesson became catching, starting with clapping hands at the midline.

A good leader knows what to teach
But more importantly, who they're teaching
Watching neurodivergent students slowly pick up skills they had struggled with, like throwing and catching a basketball, showed me that progress does not always happen in the way or at the pace you expect.
Helping someone overcome a challenge in a way that works for them is deeply meaningful. It is why HoopsInUnity exists.
